LOL! Yes, I've crossed swords with--ahem, I mean, I've exchanged posts with Paul on Mediev_L. He's been a bit too busy for the Sourcebook, but he's recently started redoing it. I have run across his list of bad films and we all had a good time thoroughly thrashing The Da Vinci Code and that crusades one with Orlando Bloom (Kingdom of Heaven, yes, I remember it now) on the list.

Concerning your two choices for bad movies, I'd choose The Black Shield of Falworth for Tony Curtis' alleged "Yonda lies the castle of my fadda" line. Oh, boy. Weird, then, that he did so well as the black sheep half-brother in The Vikings. But he could be highly variable.

But my all-time favorite bad medieval flick so far is "The Black Knight" with Alan Ladd. I called it "gloriously bad" when I reviewed it on IMDB. "Son of Robin Hood", however, was just plain bad. There are some real turkeys out there, especially if you ever find yourself watching midweek daytime terrestrial tv on a rainy afternoon in Britain. I'm gonna have so much fun with this. I'm glad there are some readers out there who agree already.

Speaking of way outta the ballpark, what did you think of Clive Owen's version of King Arthur? Haven't had a chance to see that one, yet.
